Rams Win Most Improved Team
On Last Weeks Poll deciding who is the most improved team with Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and St. Louis, St. Louis unanimously won. St. Louis went from 1-15 to 6-7 so far this season with a chance to host a playoff game.
Super Bowl Champs Got the Game of the Week
For this week's Game and Dogs of the Week, we have a bigger variety than last weeks not so great match ups. New Orleans at Baltimore takes the game of the week. The Saints can't lose a game if they hope to take the division and not play in St. Louis for a playoff game, which would be quite hilarious. While it seems that the Saints can have a loss and still be fine the same may not be said for the Ravens. In a seemingly stronger conference a loss can really turn their season for the worst, while trying to cling onto a playoff spot.
This Weeks Dogs once again features Arizona but this time playing an even weaker opponent. Interesting about this game is that the Cardinals still have a chance for the playoffs. While Arizona looks for a playoff chance the panthers just looks for some dignity.

Sadly the Game of the Week
It's time for my pick of the game and dog of the week. Sadly this week is not felt with heart busting games like last week which sadly leads me to my conclusion that this week's Game of the Week is "The Colts VS The Titans." Why? Well because both teams are within a game of each other and both are coming of a losing streak. However, the main reason is this may most likely be the colts last stand.
My dog of the week is "The Broncos VS The Cardinals." After just firing their coach Denver just lost to the Rams within the past two weeks. Oh wait, so did Arizona. Both teams are 3-9, what are they playing for? I don't know! Whoever with gets a worse pick in the draft.

Arizona Simply Surpirses Saints
Before I tell you about the game let me tell you some facts. First off, in the past two out of three games Arizona has allowed 41 points two of those games. Arizona has scored a total of 58 points in the past four games while they allowed 118. Derek Anderson was taken out for a undrafted rookie. Last year's explosive Saint offence isn't quite the same with all their wins decided by 5 points or fewer. Now to the game. What would be the strategy for New Orleans? Obviously, score first, quickly and frequently. Those tight games haven't gone the way the Saints want, even if they only lost one. If you're Arizona the strategy is quite simple. KEEP THE GAME CLOSE. You have a rookie starter from BYU and a defense giving up one of the highest point allowed in the league. In the first quarter, Saints took a 10-0 lead. Early on it seemed like the Saints were going to blow Arizona away. However, one thing I must say was Cardinal QB Max Hall looked quite impressive and seemed calm even if he was down. Now, I can't say he looked amazing with some rookie mistakes. However, it seems that his rookie mistake might be what helped Arizona. Sounds crazy? I know but listen here. The Cardinals who were now down 10-3. Max Hall decided to run it in for a TD. Did it work? No, he fumbeled but offensive lineman Levi Brown picked it up and scored a 2 yard TD. His first TD on any level. Momentum changed towards Arizona. So fast forward to end of the third. The score, 13-13. So Arizona goes on some scoring spree with a field goal and fumble return giving them the lead 23-13. Now in the 4th with two minutes left it seemed like a sure loss. But it wasn't. Brees threw a 35 yard TD, which gave a 20-23 Arizona still leading. New Orleans onside kicked but failed to recover the ball. Now it must be over. No! Arizona somehow screwed up their time managment by taking a timeout and a recovered fumble and gave the Saint 51 seconds to score. However Drew Brees decided to throw his 3rd interception in which Arizona ran it back. Final score, 30-20 Arizona. What does this mean if your Arizona? You have just taken 1st place in the NFC West. Time to keep control and similar game plans that you used today. They looked like last years Cardinals. Oh, and keep Derek Anderson out. What about the saints? You have to realize, a year ago you were ahead of everyone else but now the league caught up to you.
Running up the score.
I want to condemn the Detroit Lions for running up the score to embarrass another team. That is just unsportsman like conduct. Last week the Rams could of ran up the score against the Seattle Seahawks but they decided not to.
Lions Destroy Weak Looking Rams.
As a Ram fan it's tough to right this. However, the Lions look like a dominant team. The game started with a very controversial call when Coach Steve Spagnola decided to start the game with a onside kick. The call could of been affective due to the fact that the Lions usually start running back before the kick. That obviously was not the case and led Detroit to an early 3 point lead. In the first quarter, it was a pretty simple defense game with at the end of it being 3-3 but what hurt the rams was the loss of Marc Clayton who we did not see return. The major momentum change though was when Stefan Logan ran a kick return for 105 yards and 6 points. After that it went all down hill with a Calvin Johnson TD and at half it was 24-6 Lions. The Rams looked just as bad as they did last year. I couldn't blame they offence nor could I play the defense since they were always of the field. I blame the play calling. What worked for the Rams earlier this year was some good old football, but they did the same mistake that the Seahawks did last week. They got two wins and all of a sudden got cocky. They tried trick plays, and some flashy things. Again this isn't college. Coach Schwartz on the other hand still might have a losing record but one thing is for sure. He knows he has talent and now so does the team. They can still make a playoff run if they continue to play like they did. Score in the end was 44-6
Correction
Yesterday I worte that the St. Louis Rams were 3rd with least points allowed but I was wrong. At the time they were 4th, with the Steelers at 3rd with 50.

Game & Dog of the Week
Game of the Week: Denver Broncos (2-2) at Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
Synopsis: Last year the Ravens beat the Broncos 30-7 and held them to only 200 yards. But this year I think we are in for a good game.
Game: Last time the Ravens held the Broncos to 200 yards. Thus far this year the Broncos have an average of 2.2 rushing yards per carry this year. While the running game might be shot the passing game isn't with Orton possibly becoming the first person to attempt 700 passes in a season which in all is actually a curse. The Ravens are going to stop the run early to force a predictable pass game. If that happens the Ravens defense will take an early control of the game making a long day for Denver.
Other Good Games: Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) at Indianapolis Colts (2-2), Minnesota Vikings (1-2) at New York Jets (3-1)
Dogs of the Week: St. Louis Rams (2-2) at Detroit Lions (0-4)
Synopsis: For the 40th consecutive time the Rams are underdogs even though they beat the lions for their only win that season.
Game: Back-up QB Shaun Hill is the starter for Detroit. With an impressive stand against tough teams thus far the Lions always seem to fall up short. The Rams coming off their best start in a couple of seasons are looking to take the division with a win here and an Arizona loss. Bradford looks good and Jackson should be healthy but the real question is "Is the St. Louis defense better than a Detroit back-up QB offense?" Yes! The Rams are third with fewest points allowed behind Kansas City and Minnesota who both didn't play last week. Though many predict the Lions to win this should be an easy game for the Rams.
Other Dogs: Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2) at Buffalo Bills (0-4)
Synopsis: Last year the Ravens beat the Broncos 30-7 and held them to only 200 yards. But this year I think we are in for a good game.

Week 5 Power Rankings
1: Steelers - (3-1) They seem to be the strongest team and with Big Ben back, can be an early Super Bowl Favorite.
2: Jets- (3-1) They seem to be for real but their only wins were from their division but those are the games that count.
3: Saints- (3-1) You can't rule out the Champions!
4: Packers- (3-1) Are they for real?
5: Texans- (3-1) We may be witnessing "The Changing of the Guards".
6: Ravens- (3-1) Not much to be said here.
7: Colts- (2-2) They just have some issues to solve and then they'll be back on top.
8: Patriots- (3-1) Can't be higher until the defense improves.
9: Falcons- (3-1) I'm not quite convinced about them,
10: Bears- (3-1) One bad offensive line game doesn't put them out of the top 10.
11: Chiefs:- (3-0) Their record is the only reason why they're up here!
12: Vikings- (1-2) I wouldn't be surprised in they go 12-4.
13: Chargers- (2-2) They are a tough team to interpret.
14: Eagles- (2-2) For right now they still are the best in the NFC East.
15: Titans- (2-2) Always a solid team.
16: Cowboys- (1-2) They're only a game out!
17: Broncos- (2-2) Decent team this year.

25: Seahawks- (2-2) Pete Carroll you are not in NCAA! Stop the trick plays!

27: Lions- (0-4) Don't worry they won't be in the bottom three this year.
