Arizona Simply Surpirses Saints

Before I tell you about the game let me tell you some facts. First off, in the past two out of three games Arizona has allowed 41 points two of those games. Arizona has scored a total of 58 points in the past four games while they allowed 118. Derek Anderson was taken out for a undrafted rookie. Last year's explosive Saint offence isn't quite the same with all their wins decided by 5 points or fewer. Now to the game. What would be the strategy for New Orleans? Obviously, score first, quickly and frequently. Those tight games haven't gone the way the Saints want, even if they only lost one. If you're Arizona the strategy is quite simple. KEEP THE GAME CLOSE. You have a rookie starter from BYU and a defense giving up one of the highest point allowed in the league. In the first quarter, Saints took a 10-0 lead. Early on it seemed like the Saints were going to blow Arizona away. However, one thing I must say was Cardinal QB Max Hall looked quite impressive and seemed calm even if he was down. Now, I can't say he looked amazing with some rookie mistakes. However, it seems that his rookie mistake might be what helped Arizona. Sounds crazy? I know but listen here. The Cardinals who were now down 10-3. Max Hall decided to run it in for a TD. Did it work? No, he fumbeled but offensive lineman Levi Brown picked it up and scored a 2 yard TD. His first TD on any level. Momentum changed towards Arizona. So fast forward to end of the third. The score, 13-13. So Arizona goes on some scoring spree with a field goal and fumble return giving them the lead 23-13. Now in the 4th with two minutes left it seemed like a sure loss. But it wasn't. Brees threw a 35 yard TD, which gave a 20-23 Arizona still leading. New Orleans onside kicked but failed to recover the ball. Now it must be over. No! Arizona somehow screwed up their time managment by taking a timeout and a recovered fumble and gave the Saint 51 seconds to score. However Drew Brees decided to throw his 3rd interception in which Arizona ran it back. Final score, 30-20 Arizona. What does this mean if your Arizona? You have just taken 1st place in the NFC West. Time to keep control and similar game plans that you used today. They looked like last years Cardinals. Oh, and keep Derek Anderson out. What about the saints? You have to realize, a year ago you were ahead of everyone else but now the league caught up to you.

  1. First of all, your rams suck. This is not a comment to bash you, it is just that I don't even think Buffalo can lose by that much to Detroit. Next, the TB win over Cincy was impressive. I didn't think they would pull it off, but Ochocinco and TO dont sync together to make that team the team to beat. It was a classic to see the cowgirls lose again. I think Tony Romo needs to play houston a couple more times to find other receivers besides Austin. Roy Williams had a nice play though. Next, I think it is amazing that a team can win by 17 by only throwing 32 yds. the whole game....but then again if you are playing Jimmy Clausen, even Buffalo can win with just their defense. I think tommorow nights game is a make it or break it for Favre. If Favre comes out with a W, then Minny has hope. If the Jets come out with a Win, they could potentially be sitting on the drivers seat because they play denver, and then have a bye week followed by many easy games. No surprises elsewhere, except maybe we can finally say that Washington is a good team. If beating vick in philly didn't prove it, coming back vs. GB did.
