New Orleans Runs Past Rams in Preseason 26-24

Maybe the only time New Orleans can beat the Rams is during Preseason games. In the first week back, both Sam Bradford and Drew Brees sat out for the game. Jeff Fisher and Sean Payton seemed to take a similar approach in the game of taking it easy with starters in order to not get any of them injured, and to see what the back ups have in them as the first wave of cuts happens soon after.

Saints Pros - Saints Running Back Mark Ingram was running wild with 88 yards and a touchdown. Khiry Robinson also did well with 23 yards and a touchdown.

Saints Cons - Both teams had trouble with tackling but that is expected in the first game played of the preseason.

Rams Pros - Chris Long looked like he is ready to play a whole season with a interception in the first drive. Shaun Hill also looked like a solid backup replacing Kellen Clemens.

Saints Drafted Rookie Pros - 1st round draft pick Brandin Cooks looked solid and had a nice touchdown a little later in the game.

Saints Drafted Rookie Cons - Nothing seemed too con worthy.

Rams Drafted Rookie Pros - 6th round draft pick E.J. Gaines seemed to be all over the place despite a mishap of letting fellow rookie Brandin Cooks in for a touchdown.

Rams Drafted Rookie Cons - Rams' offensive linemen Greg Robinson, Mitchell Van Dyk, and Demetrius Rhaney seemed to have struggled a little bit.
